You will find here some information on my work and some texts. As a political scientist I work mainly on political participation and representation, transformation and democratization as well as on gender equality policies. My main research interests are the following:
How we can achieve comprehensive and sustainable democratization of societies?
How we can promote active involvement in political decision making processes by people who are affected by them?
How we can bring about a just distribution of power, money, time and recognition?
I am researching these questions mainly on the basis of gender equality. Projects are dealing with different political arenas like parliamentary representation, emergence and interest formation in social movements or legal mobilization. I have done case studies and published on comparative perspectives (see also texts).
In my current project on pay equity I investigate how social movements mobilize the law for their own politicals goals (more: pay equity).
